I decided to visit Poland

This time, as a part of my culinary exploration I decided to visit Poland. Preferably I’d visit whole the country and try all the traditional dishes of it’s regions, but due to lack of time I had to limit yourself to the number of cities that I wanted to visit.

Poland

I chose Krakow. Not only because of the popularity of the city, but also because of its proximity to other interesting me places in Poland – including Auschwitz, Wieliczka and Zakopane .

Zakopane

After arrival at the airport I had to get from Krakow Airport to the city somehow. I must admit that as to the communication, krakow airport transfers represent a high level . With no problem I got to the center, and started my culinary hunt.

On the first shot Wierzynek went. Fantastic service, delicious food and the atmosphere of the place will remain for long in my memory. The same day I wanted to visit two other important restaurants, recommended by my friends repeatedly. It’s ‘Tavern’ at Oświęcim and ‘Pałacyk Wielicki’ at Wieliczka .

The road from Krakow to these cities is not so short, so I decided to explore lokal muzea on the fly. So I decided to embrace the sorted Auschwitz and Salt Mine tour. The bigest advantage of this solution was that I didn’t t have to worry about logistical issues and the time – as the whole trip was meticulously planned and written out in the schedule. Restaurants that I wanted to visit turned out to be unfortunately not as good as the previously mentioned Wierzynek .

Visit Zakopane

The next day I went to Zakopane to try traditional highlander dishes and I have to admit that this kitchen of all in Poland tasted the best . The climate of local pubs charmed me to the rest. Later, that some day I had planned a trip to Vienna, so I went back to Krakow, packed up, extracted krakow airport transfers again – this time I took a taxi and went to the airport. Stay in Poland, I reminisce very nice – polite and helpful people, beautiful grounds and above all, delicious cuisine! I hope to return there soon, but this time I’ll stay longer in Zakopane.
